Once upon a time, 160 years ago, The Hotel Florence began its tradition of hospitality which continues today, managed by the same family who started it.
Among the hotel’s clientele are many illustrious names: Giacomo Puccini, Arturo Toscanini, Kurt Weill, Stefan Askenase, Jacques Mayencourt, Simone de Beauvoir, Jean Paul Sartre, Laura Dern, Klaus Maria Brandauer and many members of the famous German Theatre “ Theater an der Ruhr”.

All rooms are different with furniture dating from the end of 1800 and the beginning of 1900.
Special care is given to the choice of fabrics and colours.
