Chili Jam


Chili Jam


Makes about 2 Jars of about 250 ml

250 g red chillies

250 g preserving Sugar 

25 ml lemon juice

1 pinch of salt

100 ml water


Before you start, you might want to wear rubber gloves and glasses...

Wash the chillies , remove the green stark.

Cut the chili in half and remove the seeds.

Cut the chili skins into fine cubes.

But the chillies, water, sugar, salt and lemon juice in a pan

Bring to the boil, reduce heat and cook for about 30 minutes , stirring constantly 

Fill the jam in sterilized and still hot jars and seal tight.
